ORDER OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION
(OCIA or RCIA)

How Do I Become Catholic?

Adult Entrance into the Catholic Church occurs through the Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA).

The OCIA is a gradual process of education and formation. Whether unbaptized or baptized in another Christian denomination, this journey helps adults to grow in their relationship with God. Our process focuses on the teachings and practices of the Catholic faith and the value and application of faith in our daily lives. This journey will take you through the various phases of discerning your call to becoming a Catholic and living the faith. A sponsor accompanies each person desiring to become a Catholic. The sponsor may be chosen by the individual or provided by the parish. The sponsors offer support and guidance throughout OCIA and are encouraged to attend and be present throughout the process.

The first step of your journey is to contact Deacon Bob or our parish office.
